VAT Returns

I would calculate the value of your return, complete the return form keeping a copy and maintain a VAT account as stipulated by HMRC.

Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)

a) If you use sub-contractors

I would calculate the deductions for you, report to HMRC and issue a statement to each sub-contractor. Also, I will keep records so that at year end it is ready to give to your accountant.

b) If you are a sub-contractor

I will keep check on all statements due from contractors, chase them where necessary checking that their deductions are correct. These documents will then be filed so they are ready for your accountant.
